We offer 2 versions of resurfacing procedures - gradual with the Lux1540â„¢ (3-5 treatments), and intense with the Lux2940â„¢ (1 treatment). The difference is in the downtime!

The Palomar Lux1540 Fractionalâ„¢ laser (non-ablative) is faster, safer and painless than other competing technologies. A series of 2 to 3 treatments is required for optimal results. Results are typically seen in 1-6 months.

The laser treats only a portion of the targeted skin by delivering light in an array of microbeams that penetrate into the dermis, sparing the tissue surrounding the beams from damage. The tissue within these beams initiates a natural healing process that accelerates the formation of collagen that allows for faster healing with visible results in skin color, texture, tone, fine lines and wrinkles. Downtime ranges from 1 to 3 days.

The Palomar Lux2940 Fractionalâ„¢ Laser (ablative) is the most efficient laser at removing damaged skin with significantly less pain than traditional ablative laser procedures. With a single treatment, Dr. Young can perform a 2-day downtime procedure or a deeper treatment with a downtime of approximately 3-7 days.
