About Dr. Hatcher


Dr. Hatcher is a board certified Family Physician with a special interest in Dermatology. In his cosmetic dermatology practice he makes recommendations concerning cosmetic skin care and utilizes lasers to treat various problems.

Dr. Hatcher was born in Buffalo, New York. He attended Mt. Lebanon High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated from the University of Virginia in 1973 where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. From 1973-1976 he completed a 3-year accelerated program at the University of Virginia School of Medicine to earn his Medical Doctorate. He then completed a 3-year Family Practice residency program at Riverside Hospital in Newport News, Virginia. Dr. Hatcher was a practitioner for the Public Health Service, working in the underserved area of Loysville, Pennsylvania from 1979-1981. He then returned to western Pennsylvania beginning his private practice in Indiana in 1981.

Dr. Hatcher has been a diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice since 1979 and scored in the top 2% of physicians taking the recertification exam in 2006. He has also served as the President of the Indiana County Medical Society and as the county representative to the Pennsylvania Medical Society.

Dr. Hatcher routinely evaluates and treats acne, rashes, warts, psoriasis, skin cancers and other dermatological ailments. He has extensive experience in cutaneous laser surgery; he has been using lasers in his practice since 1995 and is a Fellow of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
