Because hair grows in cycles, more than one treatment is necessary to remove dormant follicles that lack pigment, remain hidden below the surface of the skin, and are not affected by the initial treatment. Usually, four to six treatments are required for substantial hair reduction; however, light colored hair may require additional treatment.
