Physicians and patients both recognize the importance of routine screening and preventive medicine. But in traditional primary-care settings, where time is already constrained, it’s too difficult to incorporate these important elements. At The Welcare Center, our physicians will devote significant personal attention to each patient, guaranteeing 24/7 access and home visits as needed. As your concierge physician, we can focus as much on each patient’s individualized, long-term program of prevention and wellness as we will on disease diagnosis and treatment.

This progressive new model of medical care is also designed to counteract the feelings of frustration and powerlessness that too often arise from trying to navigate a confusing, slow-moving healthcare system. Our physicians act, quite literally, like concierges who smoothly and efficiently guide patients through care that’s personalized, comprehensive, and convenient.

At Welcare, our patients benefit from increased contact with their physician and a higher quality of care, while our physicians have a greater opportunity to get to know you and improve your long-term health.

PERMANENT LASER HAIR REMOVAL

Tired of shaving?

It sounds like you're ready for laser hair removal, a virtually pain-free method of removing unwanted hair anywhere on the face and body.

And with our proven technique, you will experience amazing, consistent, and lasting results with permanent laser hair removal. Even if you tried it some place else and weren't happy with the results - try it here and experience the difference.

During the laser hair removal process, intense light energy is used to permanently destroy growing hair follicles. Because only 15% to 20% of hair follicles are growing at exactly the same time, 4 to 6 treatments may be required to permanently remove 90 to 100% of your hair.

Laser Hair Removal for Men

With laser hair removal you can permanently remove hair from places where you don’t want it. And once you’ve completed the treatments in an area—the hair won’t come back.
So you can remove unwanted hair without the hassle of regular maintenance.
Common sites for laser hair removal or thinning in men include:
• Back
• Underarms
• Chest
• Abdomen
• Groin
• Hairline
• Hands
• Arms
• Legs
• Neck
And many men are turning to laser hair removal for facial hair too. A few treatments can really change your morning routine and help you avoid the ingrown hairs, razor burn, and irritation you get from shaving.

Laser Hair Removal FAQs

How does laser hair removal differ from electrolysis?
During electrolysis, a needle is inserted into each hair follicle, delivering an electrical charge that destroys the follicle, a procedure that can cause discomfort or pain. Because only one hair follicle is destroyed at a time, it is exceptionally time consuming. In contrast, laser hair removal delivers light energy to hundreds of hair follicles at once. Therefore, both procedures serve the same purpose; however, laser hair removal is painless and takes a fraction of the time.

How many sessions will it take?
Although most areas can be treated in as few as five sessions, the number of sessions required varies and depends on the patient’s hair and skin type and the size of the area to be treated. Repeated sessions are generally necessary and make laser hair removal extremely effective.

Am I a good candidate for laser hair removal?
Longer wavelengths allow for treatment of all skin colors, but the procedure works best on hair with pigment. Laser hair removal is an excellent choice for men and women who have unwanted hair, and is the ideal choice for those who are tired of the maintenance required by temporary hair removal methods.

Is laser hair removal painful?
In most cases there is very little, if any, pain involved in laser hair removal. However, in patients who are sensitive to the procedure, a numbing cream can be applied before treatment begins.

How does the skin look after it has been treated?
Typically, the skin is a little red and swollen, but only for a short period of time. Of course, this varies from client to client, depending on skin type and the extent of the treatment. Most clients return to their normal activities immediately following treatment.

Is it okay to shave or sunbathe prior to treatment?
Because the laser targets the melanin in the follicle beneath the skin, it is best to shave at least twelve hours prior to treatment. Sun tanning should be avoided, and waxing, plucking, and electrolysis should be discontinued at least three weeks before treatment begins.

Is the treatment completely safe?
Yes. The laser pulses for a fraction of a second and is calibrated to destroy numerous hair follicles at a time while sparing the surrounding tissue. Laser hair removal is FDA approved and has been used safely since 1983.
