Permanent hair removal is cost-effective and virtually painless with the laser hair removal procedure.

Laser Hair Removal – or "Reduction"
Picture yourself never shaving, plucking or waxing those unwanted hairs again! Laser hair removal is better defined as hair reduction. The technology targets darker and coarser hair – leaving finer, lighter hair which almost imperceptible. Cosmetically it results in unrivaled elimination of that “hairy look.”

Benefits of Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is the safe, effective, permanent answer to removal of unwanted hair. Other methods such as electrolysis can be painful, time consuming and limited to cosmetic facial areas only. These traditional treatments commonly involve unpleasant side effects such as allergic reactions, ingrown hairs and scarring– and the results are only temporary. However, because it is permanent, laser hair removal cost compares favorably with other, repetitive hair removal treatments. The many benefits of laser hair removal make it one of the most popular methods today – the outstanding choice for safe, permanent hair reduction.

What’s involved in Laser Hair Removal?
This method of permanent hair removal uses a “state-of-the-art” laser. Lasers treat targeted areas with “pulses” of light energy that cross the skin’s barrier and are absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle. This energy then destroys the hair follicle. To reduce discomfort the laser’s chilled hand piece cools your skin during your treatment.

Is Laser Hair Reduction treatment dangerous or uncomfortable?
The treatment is perfectly safe with minimal discomfort. A cooling device is built into the laser’s hand piece, which “cools” the skin and protects it from damage. For very sensitive areas, an anesthetic cream may be used – but generally there is only a little tingling or stinging sensation.

What areas can be treated?
The upper lip, bikini area, underarms, chest, back and legs are the most common areas chosen for effective treatment. Anywhere you have “Hair That YOU Hate” is fair game for laser hair removal!

How Permanent is Laser Hair Reduction?
We use the phrase “permanent hair reduction.” The darker, coarser hairs are permanently removed, leaving lighter and finer hairs that have less or no pigment. Through a series of treatments, long-term improvement is realized. Once the level of hair removal is satisfactory, the results can persist for years.

Which Lasers Are The Best?
This is an important question, since there are so many devices out there. Lasers called 1064nm Nd: YAG – industry accepted (and FDA approved) – are the best for permanent hair reduction. These lasers can be used safely on all skin types and have the best track record. Many centers also use an IPL (Intense Pulsed Light – also FDA approved) device for select situations. The choice depends on YOUR personalized solution, for YOUR needs!

I have Dark Skin – Can I Have Laser Hair Removal?
Absolutely! YAG lasers are FDA approved for use on darker skin.

Are there precautions required before treatment and to ensure the best results?
Yes. Be sure to follow these steps:

Avoid all forms of tanning for 4-6 weeks prior to treatment.
Use a quality Sunscreen at all times.
Any/all cold sores must be completely healed before treatment can start.

Laser hair removal is a safe, effective, FDA approved method of hair removal that is fast, affordable, convenient, and non-invasive – and it leaves your skin “smooth.” It is the “preferred method” today for getting rid of unwanted hair!
